Ted Adler

Visions In Clay Invitational

Artist Statement:

Clay is interesting to me as both a material and a metaphor. When making, I look to engage a sense of“made-ness” through the plasticity of the material and the sensuous, fluid volumes of the vessel. It is my hope that a viewer can appreciate the beauty of imperfection and see how these vessels are much like ourselves: full of complexity and surprises that, over time, reveal a depth and strength of character.
