Now that Measure K has passed, Delta College will begin the process of selling bonds in order to make funds available for construction.
Although large construction projects may take years to complete due to their complexity, Delta College is determined to act as quickly as possible in order to do the most good we can in the least amount of time.
On Feb. 18, 2025, the Board of Trustees approved a series of initial priority projects:
- South Campus at Mountain House, permanent building. This long-awaited project will enhance Delta’s existing campus in rapidly growing Mountain House, replacing old portables with a permanent building that could provide a home for technology programs for in-demand careers in computer networking, cybersecurity and other fields.
- Information technology. The College’s network and WiFi needs have changed significantly and no longer adequately serve students and employees. New cabling and other network/WiFi improvements are essential to meeting future demands.
- Lodi Emergency Vehicle Operation Center. This public-private partnership with the city of Lodi will provide training to meet growing demand for careers in public safety. The project will include a paved area for vehicle training, as well as restrooms.
- Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. HVAC improvements are needed in the half-century-old legacy buildings on the aging Stockton campus.
- Parking lots. Replacement of deteriorating parking lots at the Stockton campus, including new pavement, electric vehicle charging stations, and better signage.
